Center to strengthen mining infrastructure in the northeastern states: Kishan Reddy
Guwahati, June 28 (IANS). Coal and mines Minister Kishan Reddy has repeated the dedication of minerals and coal -rich -incentive states to get the full support of the central government at the mining ministers of the states held on Saturday. The Union Minister addressed the event on the second day of the program and emphasized the strengthening of mining infrastructure, the acceleration of projects and the promotion of permanent mining practices in the region. He said that the development of the northeast is the center of the development of India 2047, with eight State Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim- are celebrated as Ashta Lakshmi. Reddy said the coordination of the center state is important to promote employment generation, attract investments and to promote inclusive economic development through minerals and coal sector. During the conference, representatives from all eight north -eastern states offered their road maps to export mining and coal fields. The Chief Minister of Nagaland along with Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, presented the exposition of state -specific strategies, achievements and future plans. He shared block auctions, the discovery of important minerals, the revival of coal mines, the development of small minerals and the adoption of durable mining models. In the discussions, the shared commitment is to balance the environmental protection measures with economic development. During the conference, Reddy inaugurated the new regional office of the Bureau of India (IBM) in Guwahati. The inauguration took place in the presence of Kaushik Rai and senior officials of Assam Mines. The new IBM office will play an important role in strengthening regulatory monitoring, technical assistance and convenience services in the North Eastern mining sector. The two -day conference served as an important platform to connect regional mining strategies with the National Agenda of Sustainable Development, Energy Security and Economic Change. -Ians abs/
