UPCC -Head Ajay Rai condemns 'Jungle Raj' in UP, meets the family of gang rape victim in Kasganj

The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) President Ajay Rai on Wednesday targeted the BJP state government on the weakened law and order in Kasganj and said that ‘Jungle Raj’ was established in the state due to the increasing crime rate. During his visit, Rai met the family members of a gang rape victim in Kasganj. Rai said of the law and order in the state, said: “A case of gang rape came to light in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi, where 23 accused raped a girl for a week. The prime minister had to intervene and direct the police officers to take action.” Kasganj police have arrested eight accused in connection with the incident and were all jailed after being produced in court. Apart from the gang rape of the girl, her fiancé was also beaten, threatened and looted during the incident. Rai later also participated in a protest march against the charge sheet filed by Congress workers in Kasganj against the charge sheet filed by the maintenance directorate in the National Herald case. It was part of the nationwide achievement. Rai claims: “BJP is aimed at the leaders of Congress because we expose their crimes.
