A new turn has emerged in the case of honeymoon, as the investigations revealed that chief accused, Sonam Raghuvanshi, allegedly used her cousin Jitendra Raghuvanshi’s bank account to finance the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, reportedly. The name of Jitendra emerged during the investigation, and brought light on financial transactions linked to the crime and asked further questions about the possible involvement of other family members. Officials revealed that Sonam allegedly used an UPI account registered in her cousin Jitendra Raghuvanshi to make an initial payment to the contract killers on May 23. Jitendra, who works as a junior employee in the family’s business, is now making a report of his possible role in facilitating the transaction, according to a report from the Republic. Sonam, 25, and Raja, 29, were married in Indore on May 11 and reached Meghalaya via Guwahati in Assam on May 20 for their honeymoon. Both of them went missing on May 23 in the East Khasi Hills district, hours after checking a home in Nongriat Village. Raja Raghuvanshi’s body was discovered on June 2 in a deep gorge near Sohra, near Cherrapunji in Meghalaya. His wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, was later spotted near a Dhaba along the road on the highway Varanasi-Ghazipur. The couple, both residents of Indore in Madhya Pradesh, went missing while they were their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Raja’s body was eventually recovered in the northeastern state, causing a high-profile murder investigation. Pti reported on Saturday that a tour guide saw the couple with three Hindi-speaking men as they climbed from Nongriat back to Sohra.
