Punjab, Haryana waiting for MnRega fees worth Rs 376 Crore

Punjab and Haryana State Mahatma Gandhi are awaiting the release of funds from the center under the National Rural Employment Valuable Scheme (MGNRIG). Until July 16, both of these states owed a total of Rs 376.60 crore. According to the official data that Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Minister of Rural Development, shared in the Lok Sabha, debt Punjab Rs 331.48 crore, while Haryana debts Rs 45.12 crore. This includes both the cost of salaries of the workers and the content cost of the work done. MGN Right is a demand -based salary -based employment program under which the states submit proposals to issue funds to the center based on real regional requirements. Chauhan informed the house that the issuance of funds is an ongoing process and that the government is committed to providing resources according to the claim to the states and trade union areas. Across the country, many states are waiting for central funds to be released. Andhra Pradesh is at the top of the list with pending fees of Rs 2,864,31 crore, followed by Uttar Pradesh (Rs 1,765,15 crore), Rajasthan (Rs 1.687,39 crore) and Bihar (Rs 1.680,13 crore). So far in this financial year, the center has released Rs 44.323 crore to the states, including the amount for the sale of the previous year’s obligations. In terms of the MNRega guidelines, the center carries 100 percent of wages and administrative costs, while 75 percent of the material costs and the remaining 25 percent area area.
