There will be action against illegal Pakistani citizens: Lakhan Patel

Chhatarpur, April 27 (IANS). After the terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the Government of India has accelerated the exile of Pakistani citizens. On the central government’s instructions, many states have begun the action to return Pakistani citizens in their respective areas. The attack further increased the tensions between India and Pakistan, which led India to take strict measures, including the cancellation of visas and the closure of the border. Lakhan Patel, Minister of Livestock and Dairy Division of Madhya Pradesh, said in Chhatarpur: “Pakistani citizens are identified everywhere. You should have seen them be deported by catching them from different places.” He said that all short -term visas were canceled on April 27, and that medical visa holders should also leave the country by April 29. Patel said: “What will be found illegally will be taken strict legal action against it. All the main ministers have been instructed and the state governments work quickly. All places are monitored and acts everywhere.” After the Pahalgam attack, India suspended the Indus water treaty, closed the Attari-Wagah Border Outpost and expelled the employees of the Pakistani embassy. The central government has given an ultimatum to all Pakistani citizens to leave India within 48 hours. Below, 272 Pakistani citizens have returned through the Attari-Wagah border over the past two days and are expected to return to hundreds on Sunday.
