JMM emerged the claim for giving special status to Jharkhand, an appeal to the 16th Finance Commission,
Ranchi, May 29 (IANS). JMM raised the question of the center to give Jharkhand special status. The party’s central secretary and spokesman Supriyo Bhattacharya said at a press conference on Thursday that the social, economic and geographical conditions of the state are such that Jharkhand deserves to achieve special state status. He said the 16th Finance Commission team, which came on a four -day visit to the state, is expected to recommend the center in this regard. The secretary of the party, citing an abundance forest wealth, bio -wealth, mineral wealth and human wealth available in the state, said we do not get reasonable rights and in exchange for the role we play in the development and construction of the country with our resources. He said it is Jharkhand, where our country is a nuclear nation due to uranium, but the biggest radiation due to uranium mining has been long before the large population. People of the area concerned struggle with serious illnesses. This state is the most prominent producing state of many other minerals, but as a result, the pain of displacement also comes in our own side. In this way, Jharkhand contributed to nation -building by sacrificing natural resources. In such a situation, this state is a strong contender for special status. The JMM leader said the Finance Commission team investigated the natural resources here during the visit to the state. He also visited religious places like Babadham. We hope that the commission, after assessing the circumstances here, will take the initiative to give our rights rights. Bhattacharya said the two state railway divisions are the country of Dhanbad and Chakradharpur to give the highest income, but in return the state must neglect the railways. Rejected shelves are always sent here, be it Rajdhani Express or Shatabdi train. He said that the circumstances of Jharkhand are like the northeastern states. It is a matter of circumstances that the center must give a 75 percent grant to implement its schemes here and the state should only spend 25 percent. Jharkhand should not be cheated again and again. He said that the state an amount of 1 lakh 40 thousand crore debt instead of mining from state land by central mining companies. Even after leaving the voice again and again, this amount has not yet been received. Each time different schemes must be asked. It is not appropriate. -Ians SNC/DSC shares this story -tags
