And I still love blowing s *** up.” When bringing up the topic of murphy and his noticeable absence from trailers and marketing, boyle would only tease the actor’s return, saying: “Like all good things in life, you may have to wait a little while for him to make his appearance.”

Cillian murphy has been churning out incredible performances for over 20 years, especially the past few years. But 2025 could his biggest year yet.

Judging by Danny Boyle’s Letter Comments, it could very well be that murphy won’T be appearing until the next movie in the Planned Trilogy: 28 years later: The Bone Temple. While Boyle is the director of the first movie, he and garland have recruited The Marvels and Candyman Director nia dacosta to helmet the second feature, with a screenplay by Garland (who will be writing all three of the films). Scheduled for release in January 2026, what’s known for sure is that The Bone Temple will feature the return of fiennes’ character, with not much Else know outside of that.

Dacosta would also take the stage at cinemacon to talk about The Bone Templelining atthes know that her entry in the trilogy would be a departure from this summer’s zombie movie, saying, “While it’s very much informed by 28 days laterthe script for The Bone Temple is very different.
