Brewers find a different way to win as Mets sixth deteriorate

William Contreras struck an assurance of two runs immediately after his run to the end of the innings, was denied by a pitch-bell pitch on Saturday night for host Milwaukee Brewers, who beat the sliding New York with 7-4. The Brewers finished seventh this month with four runs to their eighth win in so many games. Milwaukee won 11 of his last 12 overall to improve his record to a baseball-best 72-44. Pete Alonso tied Darryl Strawberry on top of the Mets franchise’s home-running list of all time by hitting the first of the team’s three solo homes on Saturday, but New York still lost his sixth straight game and for the 10th time in 11 games. Alonso’s Homer at the top of the second innings was his 26th of the season and the 252nd of his career. Will Frelick hit a RBI Groundout van Ryne Stanek (2-6) in the seventh innings. Ryan Helsley relieved Stanek, and Isaac Collins delivered the two-out-of-the-lead-to-do two fighters as his Rounderer struck past the third Baseman Ronny Mauricio of Mets. Helsley then committed a violation of the pitch of Contreras’s fly to the right. Contreras followed with a 399 foot-Homer to the left centers. The rally made a winner of Jared Koenig (4-1), who threw a hit seventh place. Abner Uribe knocked out all three fighters he had in eighth place before Trevor Megill Megill scored his 28th rescue with a ninth one hit. Tobias Myers, the starting batsman of Milwaukee, allowed three runs on five strokes and two hikes as they hit four over 3 1/3 innings. Blake Perkins and Andrew Vaughn, secondly on a two-out error through the short stop of Mets, and Brice Turang scored a homer of the game in fourth place. Starling Marte and Juan Soto also looked for the Mets, while Cedric Mullins had an RBI singles. Mets -Opener Reed Garrett threw a perfect first innings in his first Big League before Frankie Montas gave up three runs (one) on three strokes and two runs with three strokes over three innings of bulk relief. -Media on the field level
