Ravi Kishan, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and actor, demanded the modes government to formulate a law to regulate food prices in the country. Ravi Kishan, who highlights different prices of food items served at different eateries, whether hotels, restaurants or Dhabas, said the government had not drawn up law on the various food prices. During the zero hour, Ravi Kishan said there was no uniformity of the prices of single food items or dishes and quality. “Somewhere you get a Samosa against X -rate in a Dhaba while serving at the price of the Y price,” he said and the size of Samosas also differs. ‘Dal Tadka’ at some outlets you get for £ 100 while it’s with others, it’s £ 120, and in a hotel it’s £ 1,000, he said. The legislature said Premier Narendra Modi brought many transformative changes, but this segment did not receive the necessary attention. “That’s why I demand that the government bring a law to regulate prices of food items, their quality and quantity so that customers get it at affordable prices,” he said. Another BJP -LP, Damodar Damodar Agarwal, raised the issue of illegal mining and explosion done by Jindal, Ltd. in his constituency, Bhilwara, Rajasthan. He claims that illegal mining has caused ecological destruction and environmental pollution. Agarwal claims that despite intense protests, mining is unabated and demands that the center take an action to stop it. (With agency input)
