Saran District has created a new history in revenue collection of Bihar Land Registry. In the financial year 2024-25, a total revenue of Rs 210.98 crore was earned by various registration offices in the district, which is the highest ever. This is the first time revenue from registration has crossed the RS 200 crore mark. It is said that this time Rs 37.04 crore was received as the previous year. In the year 2023-24, this figure was Rs 173.94 crore. The role of Sadar registration office was the most important in this achievement. This office alone received revenue of Rs 100.12 crore, which in itself is a new record. The performance of other offices was also excellent. Sonpur received 32.57 Crores, Ekma 25.35 Crore, Mashrak received 20.24 Crore, Parsa 16.64 Crore, Madhaura received 16.06 crore income. The number of documents also increased a total of 55034 documents in the district in the year 2024-25, compared to the last time the number was 46791. The increase in both the number of documents and the income – proved the effectiveness of the administration. The credit for this increase in the velocity of innovation and technology also goes to the new processes implemented by the district administration. Based on the instructions of district officer Aman Sameer, it has now been made compulsory to attach a photo of land, latitude and longitude to each registration document. This brought transparency to the right location of land and category determination. If it is found in the investigation that the land category is deliberately recorded by the party, strict action under section 47-A of the Stamp Act is done in such cases. Transparency and ease of the e-registration system have also been introduced in the district from this year. Although it has taken time to understand the technical aspects of it in the beginning phases, but now this process provides more security and transparency through time and hard work, as well as biometric verification. With successful efforts and successful implementation of technological innovations, Saran District not only crossed his income goal, but also offered an example of other state districts.
