Bihar is included in the top states in reducing poverty, the Minister of Water Sources cited the World Bank data
Water resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said Tuesday that Bihar played an important role in reducing poverty across the country, as highlighted in the recent World Bank report. He delivered this comment during the public trial program organized at the JDU’s state office, where Leshi Singh, Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, and Jama Khan, Minister of Minority Welfare, were also present. Chaudhary said with the media that the World Bank’s report is proof of the success of public welfare initiatives made by NDA governments at both the center and the state level led by Premier Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said: “It is a matter of great pride that Bihar is involved in the countries that have made an important contribution to this achievement. Improvement in the economic condition of the poor is the result of government’s visionary and inclusive policy.” The minister also targeted the opposition, especially the RJD, saying that he is ignoring Bihar’s progress because of his now political mentality. He said: “It is ironic for RJD to talk about nepotism. His unfounded allegations reflect his frustration.” Share this story -tags
