Banten Pansda Torch Parade in Serang City to welcome the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia

Jakarta – Banten Regional Police held a Taptu or Torch Parade tradition to welcome the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The activity was attended by members of the National Police, Students, Scouts and Community Organizations (CSOs). The activity was held on Saturday (8/16/2025) on West Square, Serang City. The event was led by the Deputy Police Chief of Banten, Hengki. Governor Andra Soni, Danrem 064/Maulana Yusuf Brigadier -General Andrian Susanto, Kajati Banten Siswanto, Banten police officials, and Banten Province officials. “The torch relay is to enrich the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and to remind the struggle of national heroes of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia,” Hengki said. Participants started the parade from the front of the Banten Province building, on their way to Jalan Raya Pocis, Alun-Alun Serang, and ended at Maulana Yusuf Stadium in Serang City.
