Atatishi, a shortage of senior technical members in DJB, asked the general secretary to fill the posts within a week
New -delhi, December 24 (IANS). Delhi Minister at Atist, in a letter to the general secretary on Sunday, expressed strong dissatisfaction with the non -appointment of water and drainage members in the Delhi Jal Board. He asked within a week to fill the vacant positions in DJB. In a letter to Delhi’s general secretary, Atishi said that DJB is an important citizen program for the people of the national capital, as it is responsible for water and sewer facilities. He said in his letter: “The most senior officer responsible for managing water supply is the member (water) and the most senior officer responsible for managing the sewerage network. But it is a serious concern that their positions are currently vacant.” He also said that the current members abolished their term in mid -October and that no interim or permanent member was appointed. He said: “It is absolutely shocking that DJB is deprived of the most senior technical members. This means that many projects have stopped, as technical members can only receive technical approval.” He also said that the files for the recruitment of two new members have been running between DJB, the Department of Urban Developments and Services for two months. Atatishi said: “The two involved ministers – water and urban development – were kept in the dark that it is a matter of” service “and is therefore beyond the scope of the elected government.” He further stated that there is no full -time member (finance) for more than three months, as the current members are on medical leave. The minister said: “Member (Administration) surrenders a few months to additional charge of members (finance).” Atatishi said: “If DJB is placed without senior administrators, how will he then provide water and sewer facilities to the people of Delhi? In the worst situation, it seems like a conspiracy to stop DJB. It is a pure insensitivity to the people of Delhi.” The general secretary was instructed to coordinate between all the relevant stakeholders – DJB, Department of Urban Development and Services – and ensured that the Delhi Jal board within seven days a full -time member (water), member (drainage) and member (finance) had in the Delhi Jal Board. -Ians CBT
