The government of Rajasthan will place ORS and water seters at SMS Stadium to handle heat

Jaipur, April 9 (IANS). In light of the rising temperature and continuous heat in Rajasthan, special arrangements are made at Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Stadium in Jaipur before the first match of IPL 2025 held on April 13. To ensure the health of the audience and players, ORS (oral rehydration solution) and drinking water banks will be installed throughout the stadium. Pawan said that a dedicated medical team will also be deployed on the spot to provide immediate medical assistance to the audience as well as the players, so that there can be quickly reaction in any heat related emergency. Pawan emphasized the state’s efforts to durability, saying: “We have signed a memorandum with Bisleri, including the company will be responsible for collecting all used plastic bottles and lids from the stadium. In turn, they will provide environmentally friendly banks as part of our green initiative.” He said that according to the ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ campaign and the prime minister’s ‘name of a tree mother’, according to the chief minister, the audience would be encouraged to plant one plant in the month of Sawan. Pawan said trees will be planted on the ground based on the number of runs recorded during the match. He said he would determine in this unique initiative the number of trees held in five IPL matches at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Pawan said: “Since both teams usually score about 400 runs per game, the government intends to plant 1,500 to 2000 trees in and around the stadium.” He said that under the ‘I Tree Mother’s Name’ campaign, all the players participating in Jaipur matches will plant a tree. Earlier, players from Rajasthan Royals like Rahul Dravid, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurael planted trees in the stadium. The initiative will now expand to players from Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. Pawan insisted: “It will be a green IPL and we are committed to installing a benchmark in sustainable management of sports organizations. The SMS Stadium will become a model for environmentally conscious sporting events.” The first IPL 2025 matches in Jaipur are a high-energy match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
