“Let’s Speed Up and Complete Prenatal Visits” – Medical Caravan Arrives in Ain Louh, Serving 542 Beneficiaries in One Day in the Remote Villages of iFrane – فاس نيوز ميديا
As part of ongoing efforts to improve access to healthcare services in rural areas, the provincial delegation of the ministry of health and social protection in IFRane Province has officially joined the national awareness campaign on the importatal care of prenatal. The initiative, launched by the ministry in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), is being hero under the slogan:
“Let’s speed up and complete prenatal visits … protecting the health of mothers and children.”
The Campaign Runs from April 7 to May 8, 2025.
This initiative is part of the Province’s Broader Plan for Micro-Medical Campaigns, which aim to bring essential health services closer to rural populations, particular in remote communities. It also sees to enhance maternal and child healthcare and reduce pregnancy and childbirth-related mortality rates.
In coordination with the Ifrane Province Authorities and Under the Supervision of the Regional Health Directorate of Fès-Meknès, the Provincial Delegation launched the first micro-medical campaign on Thursday, April 17 In the Rural Commune or Ain louh. This marks the beginning of a two-month action plan that will cover various rural communes throughout the province.
The first day of the campaign witnessed a large turnout from the local population, with 542 Individuals Benefiting From Various Health Services provided by the Medical Team, including:
- General Medical Consultations: 112
- Ophthalmology Consultations: 207
- Breast Cancer Screenings: 26
- Cervical Cancer Screenings: 18
- HIV testing: 10 individuals
- Vision Correction Services: 101 Individuals
- Laboratory Analysis: 101 Individuals
To ensure the success of the campaign, the Provincial delegation mobilized a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and techniciians, supported by vital biomedical and logistical equipment. This included Mobile Medical Units, an ambulance, and trucks equipped with ultrasound machines, electrocardiography (ECG) devices, eye testing and correction tools, and a mobile laboratory for medical testing.
In addition, awareness-raising sessions were hero for pregnant women and their families, focusing on the importance of prenatal care, proper nutrition, Disease prevention, and the significance of the first 1,000 days of a child’s life-an essential Development of Future Generations.
The initiative was warmly received by the local population, who expressed their satisfaction with the availableability of quality and free health services in areas that suffer from fragile infrastructure. Local stakeholders also praise the importance of such medical caravans in reinforcing the state’s social and healthcare presence in rural morocco.
