Kolkata Gangrape case: Kalyan Banerjee stands on his statement and disagrees with TMC's attitude

New -Delhi, June 29 (IANS). In Kolkata, TMC parliamentary Kalyan Banerjee, who came into the spotlight because of the matter of rape of a law student and controversial statement about her, is seen apart from the party line. When he did not agree on TMC’s attitude, he reiterated that he had not made any changes to his statement. TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee posted on social media platform X, “I do not quite agree with Die Post on ‘X’ through the entire Indian Trinamol congress. Indirectly support the leaders who save these criminals? He wrote, “Even more unfortunate thing is that some leaders who came up after 2011 were questioned in such crimes. I also want to keep myself away from those who encourage or protect these criminals. To understand the intentions behind my words and statements, to understand the intentions behind my words and statements, a certain degree of moral and intellectual unity – which is wrong.” Earlier, TMC rejected the statement of the MP Kalyan Banerjee and Mla Madan Mitra in light of the increasing controversy. TMC posted on ‘X’, and TMC wrote: ‘The comments made by the MP Kalyan Banerjee and Mla Madan Mitra about the horrific crime in the South Calcutta Law College were made in their personal status. The party separates itself from its statements and strongly condemns them. These thoughts do not reflect the position of the party in the crime. ‘ SCH/PSK shares this story tags
