Amit Shah said in the Lok Sabha about the Waqf Bill, said: Everyone will have to accept the law

New -Delhi, April 2 (IANS). Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah said during a discussion in the Lok Sabha on the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 that it was the law of the government of India and it would have to be accepted by everyone. He accused the opposition of spreading confusion in society and trying to intimidate Muslims and make their voting bank. During this period, Shah also rejected the opposition’s claims on the issue of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and Article 370. He said that after the CAA was implemented, no Muslim citizenship had elapsed, and after removing Article 370, leaders like Omar Abdullah returned after winning in Jammu and Kashmir, indicating that the situation had improved. Terrorism has decreased in Jammu and Kashmir and the development and tourism has increased. The Interior Minister said that under the WAQF Amendment Bill, non-Muslims will also be included in WAQF councils and boards. The bill does not target a specific community, but will ensure that WAQF properties are used for the right purpose. He said that WAQF properties will be operated for the same purpose for which donations have been given, whether for the upliftment of Islam or for the well -being of the poor. He then took a digging at the opposition and said he was spreading incorrect information about this bill. He made it clear that this bill would not apply to any previous date, as said in the opposition. After its implementation, this law will only be in effect after the government’s notice. The opposition quoted an MP and said that minorities would not accept this law. Amit Shah insisted that it be the law of the government of India and that it should be accepted by everyone. At the end of his speech, he said that the opposition had never been focused on the benefit of the poor or Muslims, but that he did only the politics of casteism and distress. He supported the policy of the Modi government and said that this government is working to end such politics. Premier Modi has been elected by the people three times, and the Bharatiya Janata party will remain in power in the coming time. The Union Minister also congratulated his colleague Kiren Rijiju on the Waqf Bill. -Ians PSM/GKT shares this story tags
