Desert National Park, Jaisalmer, is a unique and large protected area in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, which provides an excellent example of desert ecosystem and biodiversity. The park was spread over 3,162 square kilometers, of which 1 900 square kilometers are located in the Jaisalmer district and the remaining 1,262 square km in the Barmer district.
