Forensic experts collected handwriting samples from 30 students

As part of the continued investigation into the MBBS exam fraud at Pandit BD Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (UHSR), a team of forensic experts on Friday collected 30 MBBS students from a private medical college. This process was held here at the Director’s Office at Pandit BD Sharma Pgims. Meanwhile, the District Police also sent about 200 answer sheets to the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL) in Sunaria Village here for detailed forensic investigation. The primary purpose of forensic investigation is to determine whether the handwriting on the answer sheets of all students is the same, and whether the ink was used to write answers. “This step is part of the extensive investigation into the exam fraud, in which the answer sheets were allegedly taken from the secret branch of the university and cheated again to help students achieve pass points,” an official said. All 30 students from a private medical college in the neighboring district were called to PGIMs, where they were called to give handwriting samples one by one. The official said: “Students were asked to write specific topics on empty answer books. The process lasted a few hours. The forensic team collected all samples, which are expected to analyze and report within two weeks.” The official further said that this action was taken after the students denied any form of their answer sheets during the trial of the discipline committee arranged in March.
