Central Government should take strict measures against terrorism: TMC MLA Sujoy Hazra
Kolkata, April 26 (IANS). The Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Sujoy Hazra has launched a shocking attack on the central government over the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. When he questioned the safety course, he demanded a thorough investigation into it and said that the central government should take strict measures against terrorism. At the same time, he accuses the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of disturbing common harmony in the country. In a conversation with Ians, Hazra said: “The responsibility of the Pahalgam attack must be corrected. Even after the Pulwama attack, no concrete result was found in the investigation. This time the central government should also see how there was security in such a sensitive area? He raised the question that when BJP leaders in Bengal get heavy security, why did it not do it for the safety of tourists in Kashmir. Hazra also targeted the central government policy. He said: “This attack will affect Kashmir’s tourism industry, which will affect the economy of the country. Many tour operators have canceled the discussion. The central government must accept its mistake and decide its responsibility.” Referring to the All Party meeting, he said that the Interior Minister also acknowledged that there were some shortcomings. The TMC MLA accused BJP and RSS of increasing common tension. He said: “The purpose of the RSS is to weaken the secular structure and constitution of the country. They do not talk about development, asking only for votes in the name of Hindutva. At the time of the independence of the country, the RSS supported the British today they are trying to divide the country into the name of religion.” Referring to the Manipur violence, Hazra also questioned the National Commission for Women, saying that the commission remains silent at the time of the atrocities on women there. He said that terrorism has no religion and that strict action must be taken. He said: “Our party will support every strict step of the central government, but the government must first focus on the development and unity of the country.” He called on the people to maintain common harmony and unite against terrorism. -Ians shk/kr share this story tags
