Germany: Indian embassy pays tribute to those who died in the Pahalgam terror attack

Berlin, April 26 (IANS). The Indian embassy in Berlin, the capital of Germany, has arranged a tribute program in memory of those who died on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. 26 Innocent people died in the attack. The Resistance Front (TRF), a faction of Lashkar-E-Taiba, a Pakistan terrorist organization, was taken by the Resistance Front (TRF). More than 100 people attended the embassy on Friday. This includes senior officials from various ministries of the German government, diplomatic and Indians living in Germany. India’s ambassador to Germany Ajit Gupte brought a soulful tribute to the victims of the attack and shared the statement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he strongly condemned the terrorist attack. Ambassador Gupte said peace and general situation in Jammu and Kashmir returned over the past few years, especially because of increasing tourism there. But some criminals are trying to spoil this peace. The people present in the program supported India’s fight against terrorism and showed solidarity for justice and peace. Everyone paid tribute to the victims and kept a minute’s silence in their memory. After this terrible attack, German Chancellor Olaf Scolz also strongly condemned it and described it as a ‘cowardly terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam’. In a post, he wrote: ‘We are with the families of the victims and want the injured to recover early. We have deep condolences to the people of India. ‘ On April 24, Sk Jaishankar met the German Chancellor’s Foreign and Security Advisor Jens Ploton. During this, he talked about the Pahalgam attack and discussed the strengthening of the mutual cooperation of India Germany. Jaishankar, thanked for the support of Germany, wrote on X: “Today I was pleased to meet the German Chancellor’s Foreign and Security Advisor, Jens Ploton.
