The basis of education socio-economic change, youth joins history: Nitin Gadkari
Cuttack, April 17 (IANS). Transport and highways Minister Nitin Gadkari called on education to understand the roots of the country by studying history as the basis of social and economic change. Gadkari, the legendary son of Odisha at the University of RavencyWas, addressed the legendary son of Odisha from the University of Ravencwas to obtain the lecture and national conference in celebration of the 125th birthday of Dr. Hairkishna Mahtab, and said that history, culture, heritage and literature are deeply interconnected. The study of history not only strengthens our roots, but also provides inspiration for the future. Gadkari remembers dr. Hairkishna Mahtab’s contribution to the development of Odisha and appreciates his dedication and ideals. He said that Dr. Mahtab played remarkable work in areas such as education, irrigation and infrastructure, playing an important role before and after independence. The central government is committed to speeding up the development in road, transport and other areas in the state. The central government aims to take Odisha to new dimensions of development. Roads and transport sectors will not only reinforce the economy of the state, but also play an important role in employment generation. On this occasion, Odisha’s chief minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, dr. Called Mahtab “Sardar Patel of Odisha” and remembers his visionary leadership and contribution to nation -building. CM Majhi said that the foundation that Dr. Mahatab lay for the social and economic development of Odisha, is still relevant. He urged the youth to take inspiration from his ideals. Minister of Higher Education Suryavanshi Suraj, MP Bhhartrihari Mahatab and many other dignitaries also participated in the program. The event has the contribution of Dr. Mahtab as inspiring to Odisha, but described to the whole country. Nitin Gadkari during his visit laid the ground stone of 19 major projects worth more than Rs 4,000 crore in Baramunda, Bhubaneswar. These projects include work related to road, flying and other infrastructure, which will promote Odisha’s connectivity and economic development.
