Andra Soni asked for a program to build a livable home is exempt from VAT

Jakarta – Banten -Governor Andra Soni is committed to building and renovating uninhabitable homes (RTLH) owned by residents. He also asked the central government to free the Livable Housing Development Program from Talature Mault (VAT). “We send a request to the central government not to be subject to VAT in the development of uninhabitable homes. So that it can be followed up and can be more optimal to answer the community’s needs for livable homes,” Andra Soni said while he was in Serang Regency on Thursday (4/17/2025). Right now, the Banten Provincial Government has completed the construction of two habitable housing units in the Cokop Sulanjana village, Waringin Kurung District, Serang Regency. The program is in line with the national policy under the government of President Prabowo Subianto. This modular home will be made a sustainable program to support the three million house programs of Pak Prabowo,” he explained. He argued that the Banten Provincial Government would continue to award a special budget for the establishment of habitable homes. “I was inaugurated for only a month. The APBD ran, the RPJMD is also prepared. God wants, I will maximize the target of uninhabitable home construction,” he said. However, Andra emphasizes the importance of cooperation between local governments and the central government, so that this program can work optimally. “There must be collaboration between the district/city, provincial and central government governments. Our goal is to build so many homes,” he said. Also watch the video: Crisis or Livable Homes in Jakarta (Aik/Taa) HOEGENG Awards 2025 Read the inspiring story of the exemplary police candidate here
