Keonjhar, April 14 (IANS). Odisha chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi reached Keonjhar on a day -long visit on Monday and saw the presiding deity Tarini of the district. After worshiping and taking blessings in the temple, he participated in the great flag march from Hanuman Chowk in the city. During this, several local leaders, including MP Anant Nayak, Patna and many MLAs were present with him. Chief Minister Majhi first visited Lord Mahavira at Hanuman Chowk and then joined the flag march. During the march, he reached the Ram Temple and visited Lord Rama and participated in the flag worship. The march started from Hanuman Chowk and went to the Law College, from where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi returned to Bhubaneswar. On this occasion, he said: “I join this flag march every year. This march is a symbol of peace, order and brotherhood. The cultural and religious traditions of Kejhar unite us.” Chief Minister Majhi has repeated his dedication to making Kejhar the center of development. He said that the basis of developed and prosperous Odisha would be laid by disadvantages. For this, special attention is paid to the establishment of industries and steel plants in the district. Concrete steps will also be taken to strengthen basic facilities such as health, education, drinking water and transport. He said: “The development of Kejhar is our priority. The government is fully committed to the people here to get better facilities and jobs.” Chief Minister Majhi also made a big announcement about the development of the MAA Tarini Temple and its surrounding areas. He informed that a detailed Project Report (DPR) of more than Rs 215 crore was prepared for the beautification of the temple site and the development of infrastructure. Under this project, better facilities, roads, parking and other necessary arrangements will be made for pilgrims around the temple. CM Majhi said: “The blessings of Maa Tarini are important to all of us. The development of the temple will preserve our cultural heritage and promote tourism.” The local population warmly welcomed Majhi during this visit. Thousands of people involved in the flag march performed dedication and cultural unity with enthusiasm.
