AT&T: 73 million databases on the dark internet
AT&T said personal data for about 7.6 million holders of the current account and 65.4 million former customers were leaked on the dark internet. The data – leaked about two weeks ago – contains personal information such as social security number and it appears that it is from 2019 or before, according to what the company explained in a statement on Saturday. “AT&T” added that the source of the data is still being investigated, and it is not known whether the data leakage of the company itself or one of the suppliers took place. The company said it had not yet monitored evidence of unauthorized entry into his systems, and that the leakage had no significant impact on its operations until Saturday. It also resigns millions of passwords for customer accounts to the leak. The leakage of Facebook users’ data raises the concern of the US Senate. “AT&T” is the third largest retail telecommunications company in the United States, to “Verizon Communications” and “TV Mobile USA”, according to the data collected by Bloomberg. In February, the company was witnessing a major interruption that took hours, who asked the federal government to conduct an investigation.
