A revised proposal of 348 crore for water supply by Nashik Municipality
For the third time, a revised proposal of approximately 348 crore was submitted by Maharashtra News Desk, Municipal Corporation to Maharashtra Life Authority. After technical approval, the proposal will be sent to the state government for final approval, after which it will be sent to the center by the state. This municipal corporation’s water supply scheme will raise funds under the center’s AMRIT-2 campaign. The then Chief Minister of Devendra Fadnavis promised to provide money for lying water pipes in the new colonies of Nashik City. The municipal corporation has submitted a scheme of water supply scheme of 250 crore to the state government. The government sent the scheme to Majipra for inspection. After proposing some amendments, the municipal corporation again submitted a revised scheme of 226 crores. By the time the scheme reached the center through Majipra’s approval by the state government, the Maharashtra equity fund of the Center in the Amrut-1 campaign ended. This proposal of the city’s water supply management has been pending over the past four years. During the tenure of the then administrator Ramesh Pawar, the government was instructed to re-implement this proposal and submit a revised proposal under the Center’s Amrit-2 scheme. Under the guidance of the commissioner and administrator, dr. Chandrakant Pulkunundwar, the Department of Water Supply presented a revised proposal of Rs 350 crore to the government. According to the government’s instructions, the proposal was submitted to the MP for re -examination. While the plan was prepared, a possible population was appointed to 2041 the basis. However, the municipal corporation objected to these population criteria and returned the entire plan to the municipal corporation. In addition, some other objections have been registered by the magistrate.
