Cabinet approves the construction of Zirakpur sail from Punjab to Haryana, knows the length of the project
In an effort to increase road connections, the Central Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired Premier Narendra Modi on Wednesday from NH-7 (Zirakpur-Patiiala) at the hybrid annuity mode in Punjab and Haryana and the construction of 6-tracked Zirakpur by NH-5 (Zirakpur-Parvanu), which would be of 19.2.2.2 kilometers. This step through the center was taken to facilitate the development of integrated transport infrastructure under the PM capacity’s national master plan principle. Zirakpur enclosure begins with NH-7 (Chandigarh-Bathinda) in Zirakpur. It ends at NH-5 (Zirakpur-Parvanu) in Panchkula, Haryana, to avoid highly urbanized and overcrowded parts of Panchkula in Zirakpur and Haryana in Punjab. The primary purpose of this project is to reduce the congestion in Zirakpur, Panchkula and surrounding areas by deducing the traffic of Patiala, Delhi, Mohali Aerocity and providing direct connection to Himachal Pradesh. The existing proposal aims to reduce the time of travel and to ensure joint traffic in the urban urban parts of NH-7, NH-5 and NH-152. In this regard, the center has begun reducing congestion with the development of road networks in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali urban areas, which will take the form of Ring Road as shown on the map.
