What do you think of the Waqf Amendment Bill, Khadim of Ajmer Dargah is shocking

The central government today introduced the WAQF Amendment Bill 2025 (WAQF Bill) in the LOK Sabha. People from the Muslim community across the country have also been opposed. At the same time, internal differences in Ajmer Dargah in Rajasthan emerged. There are clear differences in different groups related to the Dargah with regard to this bill. Sajadanshin Salman Chishti of Dargah and Diwan Syed Nasruddin Chishti of the Dargah supported the bill, while Khadim ‘Anjuman’s main organization Syed Jadgan strongly opposed it. Why did two votes on the Waqf Bill on Ajmer Dargah? Khadim vs. Gaddinshin -controversy was started with an article published by Salman Chishti in ‘The Hindu’ in which he had to improve WAQF properties. This article was also appreciated and shared by senior ministers of the central government. But Anjuman Syed Jadgan, an organization of Khadim, criticized the article, saying it was against the collective opinion of the Khadim community. Anjuman secretary Sarwar Chishti said: “Salman Chishti is not the head of the Dargah, but is one of the Khadims. He abused the names of Khadims and supported the bill by going against our proposal.” What is the WAQF Amendment Bill and why is it opposed? The WAQF (amendment) Bill, 2024, aims to bring transparency into the management of WAQF properties and prevent conversion. The Government claims that it will increase the liability of the Waqf Council and the people of the community will have more benefits. However, the opposition and many Muslim organizations are of the opinion that the bill will affect the autonomy of the WAQF Council and have been brought without confidence in the Muslim community. Differences on the political and religious results of the WAQF (amendment) bill regarding the Ajmer Dargah are not only limited to the religious field, but it can also have political consequences.
