Galang -Island is prepared for taking care of Gazane, PKS asks the government to be careful

Jakarta – Deputy Chairman of the MPR of PKS Hidayat Nur Wahid (HNW) asked the government to be careful of the plans to use Galang Island to take care of Gazane who were victims of the war. HNW said that the plan of Indonesia to accommodate Gazane by Palestine must be approved to the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OKI). “Has all parties agreed to the option? That’s what should be asked for elucidation. If all parties agree, it means that Palestinians agree, then Palestinian fighters agree, OIC countries agree, Arab countries agree,” HNW said in the parliamentary complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday (8/8/2025). HNW said the Indonesian government should also carefully prepare Galang Island in the Riau Islands. He said Indonesia should ensure that all Gazane treated can be returned to Palestine later. He said Israel could have prevented Gazane from returning to their homeland. “The question is whether Israel can be trusted for the promises made so far? So far, Israel has always done what has been agreed upon. So in my opinion it must be more cautious,” HNW said. He also emphasized that there must be approval of Palestine regarding the shelter plan at Galang Island. HNW also wants to ensure the territory of the Gaza, the West Bank or the West Bank and the AQSA mosque in an independent Palestinian area. “It is better to ensure that the approval of all parties in Palestine and number two is ready in Indonesia. And indeed ensures that Gaza, West Bank and AQSA mosque will become an independent Palestinian area,” he said.
