Preparations for big action on old vehicles in Delhi will be done seas at petrol pump

New -Delhi, June 20 (IANS). Preparations were completed to capture the screws on old diesel and gasoline vehicles to combat air pollution in the national capital Delhi. Dr. Virendra Sharma, a technical member of the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM), said on Friday that ANPR (automatic license plate identification) cameras will be installed at all petrol pumps in Delhi since July, which can identify vehicles whose prescribed age restriction has been completed. Dr Sharma informed that more overseas vehicles under BS 6 will be seized at the petrol pump itself. For this, a special task force was also created that goes to different areas and petrol pumps and acts strictly against those who violate the rules. He said: “This step is part of the Delhi government efforts to improve air quality. Now the rules will be strictly followed; the vehicle owners who oversee vehicles must be aware.” Dr Sharma said that AnPR cameras were also installed on Delhi’s large highway, which also identified old vehicles from outside states. This technique is able to check the details of the vehicle by scanning the license plate without any human intervention. He claimed that the pollution level in the winter of Delhi would be much lower this time than before, as the situation would improve due to continuous monitoring and strict action. Let us know that the BJP government of Delhi has taken strict pollution from the beginning. The government has taken several precautions to handle pollution. A major initiative started in Delhi with regard to garbage management. Mountains of garbage that accumulate for years are now about to become history. The government plans to be abolished in the next year and green energy projects should be installed in their place. -Ians DSC/EKD shares this story -tags
