Iit Delhi started UGS Course BS in Chemistry, knowing how to get admission - NCR IIT Delhi BS Chemistry Program Admission via Jee Advanced 2025
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) begins a four-year BS program in Chemistry of Delhi Session 2025-26. Jee (advanced) will enter through 2025. There is an attempt to fill the gap of knowledge between engineering and chemistry graduates. Students are also taught basic things from engineering with chemistry. Jagran correspondent, New -Delhi. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has announced to start a new four -year graduates (UG) program Bachelor Scientiae (BS) in Chemistry of the Academic Session 2025-26. This is the first BS degree program of IIT Delhi. Students are given admission from session 2025-26, admission to this course will take place by Jee (Advanced) 2025, and eligible students can select it via the Josa 2025 portal. Prof. Head of the Department of Chemicals, prof. S. Nagendran, reported that this program added high quality studies of chemistry as well as multi-discliny. He said that graduates in engineers often see a lack of depth of fundamental scientific knowledge, while traditional chemistry graduates sometimes ignore the basics of engineering. This new course is an attempt to bridge this difference. Pro. Ravi P. Singh, coordinator of the BS chemistry program, said that students in two first -year semesters will receive basic studies on general science and engineering, similar to the BTech program. The second year focuses on the most important subjects of chemistry, while research -based and multidisciplinary courses will begin in the third and fourth year. A special initiative is that students can also get a minor degree from another department with this course. The purpose of the course is to prepare students who can connect fundamental chemical principles with practical thinking to engineering and play the role of chemistry in solving global problems. Graduates will be able to play a leading role in areas such as pharmaceutical products, semiconductor, materials, manufacturing, defense, oil gases, chemical consultation and petrochemicals. The main features of this course are 30 percent practical learning chemical science and coordination of engineering. Courses prepared for the future, such as AI-ML using Advanced Laboratory Facilities Cross-Downpeters and Minor Degrees Experienced Facilities Experience Faculties that are active in World Class Research
