Unni Mukundan Refalls Assault Covenants, says no physical damage done to former driver not mint
Kochi (Kerala) [India]June 1 (Ani): Actor Unni Mukundan has broken his silence over the recent allegations of assault produced by his former manager, Vipin Kumar, against him. At a press conference held in Kochi, Mukundan made it clear that there was no physical assault and that the dispute was misrepresented. “It’s not a case of assault. There was no physical violence,” the actor said, adding, “As a friend, I just wanted to confront Vipin about why he talked negatively about me. During the fierce exchange I threw his sunglasses – that’s true.” There was no physical contact. ” Mukundan further claimed that Vipin Kumar, who managed the actor’s career for six years, is already facing several complaints within the film industry. “There are cases against Vipin in Fefka. More than one actress approached film organizations with complaints about him,” he said, adding that Vipin is not a registered member of the Film Employers Federation of Kerala. The controversy broke out to a fir, who was filed by Vipin Kumar on May 26, and accused Unni Mukundan of physical assault and issued threats during a confrontation during the basement parking of Mukundan’s apartment complex in Kochi. “He called me for a meeting. When I got there, he shouted at me, beat and beat me. ‘ Another person had to step in to stop him, ‘Vipin told reporters. Kumar claims that the incident may have been fueled by Mukundan’s disappointment over the lukewarm industry reaction at his recent film Marco. “After the release of the film, he was discouraged that the top directors did not issue. He elicited the frustration on me,” Vipin claimed. In response, Mukundan filed a counter-complaint with the Kerala Director General of the Police (DGP) and said that he was unjustly and maliciously targeted. “Two weeks ago I received a call from an unknown number. The caller mentioned several people, including Vipin. That’s when I realized that something was wrong,” the actor said. The actor also addressed a broader pattern of controversies around his career. “I have been announced against me before. Some people even said that the RSS funded my film Meppadiyan. The truth is that I financed the film by connecting my own home,” he said. He also hinted that there could be a larger network behind the current controversy, adding: “I suspect that more people are involved in bringing me down.” Mukundan confirmed his respect for his colleagues and said he maintained a strong relationship with co -actor Tavino Thomas, despite rumors. “I’ve never said anything about Tavino. We are very good friends, ‘he clarified. Mukundan expressed his deep gratitude to the people of Kerala for supporting his journey in the cinema, adding: “I have worked hard to bring out my films. I will do it with honesty.” The incident comes a few months after Unni Mukundan retired from its role as treasurer of the Association of Malayales film artists (Amma) in January this year, citing mental health and professional stress. His resignation took place shortly after the executive committee of Amma, including President Mohanlal, offered their resignations in the wake of the Justice K. Hema Committee report, which exposed the widespread challenges women face in the Malayalam film industry. (Ani)
