Rao coaching case: CBI file status report in the Delhi High Court

New -Delhi, May 29 (IANS). The CBI has filed a Delhi High Court status report in connection with the death of three students at the Rao coaching center in the old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi. In this case, the court issued strict instructions to the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) and the Department of Public Works (PWD). During the hearing, the MCD advocate said that the Bada Bazaar road, where the accident occurred, falls under the jurisdiction of MCD. New drains and storage water drains were created here. However, Shankar Road and the environment are under PWD. The MCD claimed to have written a letter to the PWD several times, in which he is the need for the production of stormwater and drains, but the PWD only issued the tender. Despite the monsoon nearby, the progress of the work is not clear. The MCD has warned that if it rains, there may be a problem to reconcile in the area. The Delhi High Court has ordered MCD and PWD executive engineers to resolve the case as early as possible. The court clearly said that any form of negligence in the work would be taken seriously. Both departments were instructed to submit a status report. The PWD told the court that the tender was issued and that work was underway. The department claims that the work will be completed within the specified time. The court drafted the next hearing of the case for September 2025. Until then, MCD and PWD will have to present their progress report. Let me tell you that three students preparing for UPSC state service died last year due to water filling in the basement of the Rao coaching center of the old Rajendra Nagar, after which the issue was raised fairly and also demonstrated the students for a few days. -Ians DSC/PSK shares this story tags
