Ayushman Bharat Yojana was launched in Odisha, Deputy Chief Minister said PM Modi's health protection promise
Bhubaneswar, April 11 (IANS). The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was launched. State Minister Praveshi Parida responded to the scheme. He calls it a ‘promise of health protection’ by the central government led by Premier Narendra Modi. Deputy Chief Minister Parida said with the media that this scheme is a great gift of the Modi government for the people of Odisha. Below is free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh for men, along with an extra cover of Rs 5 lakh for women. By Ayushman ‘Bayo Bandana Yojana’, the elders are also provided free treatment facility. This scheme is a commendable step towards protecting the health of the elderly in the state. He emphasized the most important features of the scheme and said that it is a completely cashless facility. People from Odisha can utilize it in more than 29 thousand hospitals across India. It is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that every citizen should get quality and free health services. The purpose of these schemes is to provide better health services to poor, the elderly and needy people.
