Young Sheldon isn’t so young anymore.
The Big Bang Theory prequel series — which ran for seven seasons before its series finale in May 2024 — followed Sheldon Cooper and his family in the late ’80s and early ’90s as they navigated life in a small Texas town.
The chronicles of the Cooper clan have continued in a spinoff, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. It debuted in the fall of 2024 and has already been renewed for a second season.
But Young Sheldon has found a second life on Netflix, which added the sitcom’s last installment to its library on April 15. Before it climbed to the top of the streamer’s charts, actor Iain Armitage previously spoke about the show resonating with audiences.
“Pretty much everyone, no matter who you are, can somewhere relate to at least some themes of this show,” he told PEOPLE in February 2024.
So where is the Young Sheldon cast now? Here’s everything to know about what the actors have been up to since the family comedy ended.

Iain Armitage as Sheldon Lee Cooper

Iain Armitage played the titular character on Young Sheldon for the show’s seven seasons.
Armitage hasn’t starred in any projects since the end of Young Sheldonbut his hobbies have been hitting new heights — literally.
“I just got my pilot’s license, or my student pilot’s license,” he told PEOPLE in October 2024. “I hopefully will get my private (pilot’s license) when I’m 17. And I’ve been having a bunch of fun flying while I’m here in L.A.”
Armitage’s first major acting role was in HBO’s 2017 hit series Big Little Lies. During an interview on Live with Kelly and Mark in May 2024, Armitage said he would “be honored to be back” for season 3, which is reportedly in the works.
Zoe Perry as Mary

Zoe Perry starred as Mary Cooper, Sheldon’s loving and protective mother.
Young Sheldon ended in 2024, but Perry hasn’t said goodbye to The Big Bang Theory universe. She has since reprised her role of Mary on the Young Sheldon sequel series, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
Most recently, Perry also played Officer Binkowski on two episodes of The Connersappearing opposite her real-life mom, Laurie Metcalf.
Lance Barber as George

Lance Barber played George Cooper Sr., Sheldon’s father, on the series.
Even though George died in the final season of Young SheldonCooper reprised his role for an episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriagewhere he visited a bedridden Georgie (Montana Jordan) in a dream.
“Some of the people watching the scenes were visually emotional seeing me on that kitchen set,” Barber said in an interview with USA Today about his return. “This is a beloved character.”
“It was fun to feel those feels and be so appreciated, even in the sadness,” he added.
Montana Jordan as Georgie

Montana Jordan is keeping it Cooper.
Jordan played Sheldon’s older brother, Georgie Cooper, on Young Sheldonand he continues to play the role in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
“Coming into Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriageyou can kind of tell what it’s going to be about from the characters of Young Sheldon,” Jordan told PEOPLE in September 2024.
He added, “But we’re going to continue that storyline and you get to see all the fights and all the ups and downs of everything.”
In February 2025, the Young Sheldon spinoff was renewed for a second season.
RAEGAN REVORD AS MISSY

For seven seasons of Young SheldonRaegan Revord played Missy Cooper, Sheldon’s twin sister.
Since Young Sheldon ended, Revord has reprised her role on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriagefirst appearing in the series’ second episode.
“We’re going to see a slightly different Missy,” executive producer Steve Holland told TV insider in August 2024. “She’s gone through the loss of her dad and she’s acting out. She’s (becoming) rebellious.”
Annie Potts as Connie

On Young SheldonAnnie Potts portrayed Constance “Connie” Tucker, a.k.a. Meemaw, Sheldon’s grandmother.
Since the series finale of Young SheldonPotts has reprised her role of Meemaw, making guest appearances on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
In 2024, Potts returned as Janine Melnitz in the paranormal action-comedy Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
Matt hobby as pastor jeff

Matt Hobby played Jeff Difford, the pastor at the Cooper family’s church.
After the finale of Young SheldonHobby has made guest appearances as Pastor Jeff on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
“It was so much fun to have him … and get a little Pastor Jeff sprinkled in our lives again,” Holland told TV Line in December 2024.
During a Young Sheldon finale party hosted by Potts, Hobby said he felt “amazing” watching the final episode.
“I think it was a beautiful story and it was well-told, and I am grateful for it,” he said in a video posted on Instagram.
Emily Osment as Mandy McAllister

Emily Osment joined the Young Sheldon cast in season 5, playing Mandy McAllister.
She was only supposed to make a quick appearance, but stayed on for the rest of the show — and even starred in the sequel series Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
“I was just supposed to do one guest star appearance. That was my deal. It was one episode,” she told PEOPLE in April 2024. “And then they brought me back for two more, and then they brought me back for seven more. Then they brought me on as a regular.”
Jim Parsons as adult Sheldon

Jim Parsons originated the role of adult Sheldon on The Big Bang Theorybut viewers only heard his voice on Young Sheldon.
Parsons was the narrator for the prequel, but in the series finale, the actor finally appeared on-screen, reprising his role as older Sheldon.
“I felt a slight hesitancy when they first asked, just as I thought, I don’t really want to go revisit the character,” Parsons told PEOPLE in May 2024. “But the way that they wrote it in was, I thought, so beautiful that it ended up being like this little extra coda or whatever to my experience with the character.”
“It was this gift of a second layer of losing it out in a way that I had never seen coming, and it was a real treat,” he added.
Parsons has not returned to the screen since the Young Sheldon finale. Instead, he’s been busy on Broadway. He costarred in the play Mother with Jessica Lange and Celia Keenan-Bolger, which ran from April to June 2024.
A few months later, he played the Stage Manager in a revival of Our Town from October 2024 to January 2025.
