Drupadi Murmu met the president of Portugal, and the emphasis on strengthening bilateral relations

New -Delhi, April 6 (IANS). President Draupadi Murmu is a state visit to Portugal. During this, Monday, he held extensive discussion with Portugal President Marcello Rebelo de Susa. President Murmu gave this information through social media posts. In the meeting, the two leaders discussed different aspects of Indo-Purtagal relationships in detail. The Office of President Murmu posted a post on the social media platform X and wrote: “President Draupadi Murmu held extensive discussions with Portugal President Marcello Rebelo de Susa. The two leaders discussed various aspects of Indo-Purtagal relations as well as worldwide and regional issues of shared interests. He further wrote, “The two leaders agreed that bilateral relations are based on mutual trust, understanding and cooperation on important issues, including multilateral levels. Let us know that President Drupadi Murmu Portugal and Slovakia on Sunday left for Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, in the first phase of their state visits to their two countries. Indian President’s visit to Portugal takes place after a 27 -year gap. Murmu in Slovakia bilateral meetings holds president of the country Peter Palegini and Prime Minister Robert Fico. This is the first Slovakia visit of a president of India in 29 years.
