Navagachiya SP Prerna Kumar said the Gopalpur police station received information that a woman was shot dead in the Tintanga Karodi town at about 20:00 on Thursday night. Once the incident was reported, a team from the Gopalpur police station immediately reached the place and inspected and called the forensic team while keeping the place safe. A special team was established to arrest the accused. The team arrested the accused Prakash Mandal in just two hours.
