Chirag Paswan requested the Bihar government to declare crop damage caused by electricity and hailstorm as 'state disaster'

The Minister of Food Processing Industry, Chirag Paswan, on Saturday (April 12) requested the Bihar government to declare the heavy crop damage caused by electricity, hailstorm and unauthorized rainfall as a state disaster. He also claimed sufficient compensation for the farmers involved in many districts. In a letter to the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan, head of the Lok Janshakti party (Ram Vilas), he wrote: “In the last two days, unauthorized rain and hailstorms caused great damage to wheat and other crops in many districts of the state, which had the farmers who suffered. Reports have been killed in lightning and thunderstorms in the state in the state of the last three days. Interest rates on their agricultural loans and give them extra time to repay their loans. In a statement issued by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, who also oversees the Agriculture Division – said: “Officials were instructed to immediately assess the crop damage caused by recent incidents of electricity, hail and rain.
