Bihar: Chhapra's scent has become an example of cleanliness, new direction for women by spreading 10 lakh package sanitary pillows
Chhapra, May 16 (IANS). Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat mission, the work done by Khushboo Thakur of the Saran district Bihar for women became an inspiration to society. She not only established herself as a successful female entrepreneur, but also gave a new direction to millions of women and adolescents by making them aware of menstrual hygiene. Under the Fim Foundation, Khushboo Thakur has launched a small scale industry in Jalalpur in Chhapra under the collaboration and guidance of BJP -LP Janardan Singiwal in 2021, where sanitary building machines were installed. The project was inaugurated by the then Deputy Chief Minister Tarakishore Prasad. Khushboo has linked four-five women with employment through this industry and a pioneer at community level health awareness. Khushboo Thakur has so far spread more than 1 million sanitary pillows for free. She herself goes to Village, Schools and Mohallas and communicates with women and students and talks openly about menstruation. Initially, when she discussed the subject, the women of the village were shy and hesitant to take the road. But today, scent has become a popular sight. Khushboo, who faces almost four years of hard work and social opposition, has not only changed the people’s thinking, but also made people aware of menstrual hygiene. He motivated women to use clean and safe sanitary pillows instead of old and dirty clothing, and avoid infection and other health problems. Khushboo Thakur said in a conversation with the news agency that for the past four and a half years she has been spreading the spread of sanitary pillows under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission campaign. During this time, we distributed more than 1 million packages in rural areas. He said: “When I started this work, there is a difference between the situation and the situation in today’s situation. People earlier commented dirty and dirty and said that his wives spoiled, they had no other job. When she went to the villages, women did not leave. Some people had made strange remarks earlier. So many dirty words have been used that cannot be described. Many times she cried at home at night. Khushboo said that the situation has changed completely today. Now a father comes to him and says ‘give the road package for my daughter’. Many youths ask for their mother. It is very proud to see it.
