Ferry explained that Hos Tjokroaminoto was constantly teaching and discussing with young activists, one of whom was the Proclamator of independence IraRarno and a number of other national figures. Although the house is simple, its role in national movements cannot be underestimated. Related to the Sarekat Islam movement led by Tjokroaminoto with Samanhudi as chairman to become a large organization very much respected by the Dutch colonial government. Even because it is considered a threat to the political stability and the colonial economy, the organization is limited by its members. “From that house, big thoughts came forward to build their own government and the desire to bring about economic independence, and then Tjokroaminoto continued his struggle to raise the organization with Kyai Samanhudi,” Ferry said.
