Mega asks Masinton to guard the Geopark Caldera Toba reminiscent of the yellow card UNESCO
Jakarta -Chairman of the PDI Perjuangan DPP (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri presented a letter to the Central Tapanuli Regent Masinton Pasaribu during the closure of the PDIP’s debriefing head, at Lenteng Agung Party, South Jakarta (South). The letter contains the results of the meeting related to UNESCO which gives a yellow card status to the status of the Toba Caldera Geopark. Megawati asked Masinton to manage the Geopark well by international standards. UNESCO notes the development of the area so that it is continuously performed by maintaining ecological, biological and cultural diversity to be protected. “The message of Ms. Megawati, so that PDIP and PDIP regional heads in Northern Sumatra are fighting for and the sustainability of Toba Caldera Geopark management in accordance with Unesco international standards,” Masinton said after the event to reporters on Sunday (5/18/2025).
