Legal Correspondent, Lucknow: Congress MP of Sitapur Rakesh Rathore received a great relief from the Lucknow Bank of the Allahabad High Court. The court imposed an interim residence on all the proceedings against Rathore in the Sitapur trial court on a charge of rape. The court ordered the case to be listed in the week from July 28. The MP disputed the trial court order in the Supreme Court on May 5. The 49 -year -old married woman from Sitapur filed a case against Rathore in Kotwali Sitapur on January 17, 2025, claiming that the MP was sexually assaulted for four years. Rathore is on bail in this case. Rakesh Rathore’s review request was heard by a single bank of Justice Subhash Vidyarthi on May 20 and on Thursday. The order of the May 5 trial court was disputed. In this, the application to liberate Rathore from the rape case was rejected. The court also remained this order from May 5 until the next hearing of the case. The Rathore lawyer has placed a favor that the charges of prosecution were unfounded. The favor of the accused MP was argued that he was falsely involved for political reasons. Fir is registered in this case after four years. The incident of alleged rape of facts is not correct. The victim claims that Congress LP has been physically abused for four years by pretending to be married and attracting help in the political career. In the case, the MP of Congress had to go to jail and bail was approved of the Supreme Court.
