Highway cracks and pits lose 'highway wagons', traffic safety will be strengthened
Preparations have begun to increase traffic safety on national highways and strengthen highway patrol services. NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) will implement advanced and future opportunity management services. New Route Petrol vehicles (RPVs) called “Highway Saathi” will be included. Design, Work and Technology framework for RPV at headquarters level is corrected. The new RPV has a dashboard cameras equipped with ‘AI video analytics’, which can identify other elements, including cracks and pits, as well as vehicles, pedestrians, road signals and other infrastructure characteristics. Data and video material associated with road conditions will be collected each week, it will be integrated with the Nhai app. Let us tell you that RPVs are monitoring national highways to monitor and respond to emergency situations. The existing RPV has an open space on the back to keep equipment and help in emergency situations. As an open space, operators could not keep these devices in a systematic way, which delayed quick action many times, but now a closed vehicle would be replaced by RPV or back of the truck, which would have enough space for different equipment and stock. Shelves will also be made to easily achieve different devices in emergency situations. The work of amendment of PRV began at the headquarters level, soon this scheme applies to the ground. However, these PRVs will be deployed at all Toll Square, as this work has begun on some toll square. Share this story -tags
