Atiku Lambasts Tinubu government over failed security architecture, ongoing mass murders of Nigerians

He accused the Tinubu-led government of allowing bloodshed to become routine and leaving Nigerians in a state of fear and hopelessness. Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said Nigerians have now become accustomed to the news of mass murders due to the failure of President Bola Tinubu’s security architecture, which he described as an endemic nationwide phenomenon. Atiku mourns that the country’s security situation has worsened to the point where many murders are no longer headlines. He accused the Tinubu-led government of allowing bloodshed to become routine and leaving Nigerians in a state of fear and hopelessness. “The failure of Bola Tinubu’s security architecture has now become an endemic nationwide phenomenon with repeated murders, more of which does not even make the headlines,” he said. He expressed sympathy for the victims of recent attacks, especially in the Plato state, where many lives have been lost. “Nigerians are now being forced to get used to such news about murders, and I again offer my condolences to the grieving communities of the Bokkos local government area of the Plateau state and the families involved.” Atiku criticized in a statement on Friday that the federal government’s lack of action had criticized, and warned that the country would continue with the descent of lawlessness without urgent intervention. “I want to give my advice to the Tinubu-led FG to reconfigure its security architecture to meet the needs of the lives and properties of our people,” he added. Earlier on Friday, Saharan Porters reported how Bandites killed at least ten people in a series of violent attacks carried out on five communities in the Bokkos local government area of Plateau State on Wednesday. The latest attacks come just six days after a similar attack in the Ruwi community occurred during a weekly ceremony, where ten people also died and sustained three other injuries. A statement released by the Bokkos Cultural Development Council (BCDC) and signed by the chairman, Farmasum Fuddang, condemned the ongoing attacks. Fuddang said in the statement that the peaceful and hospitable people of the area are facing threats of terrorists trying to grab their country and impose a caliphate. “In just one week, we have lost more than twenty community members because of these marveling terrorists, who are busy with a constant ethnic and religious purification of five towns,” Fuddang said.
