Ryan Gosling to lead Star Wars: Starfighter; movie to hit theaters on this day
Washington DC [US]April 18 (Ani): Actor Ryan Gosling is the lead role in the new ‘Star Wars’ payment titled ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’ led by Shawn Levy, Variety reports. The film will start a production in the fall, and it will be released on May 28, 2027. According to Variety, Lucasfilm (Film Production Studio) president Kathleen Kennedy and CCO Dave Filoni officially revealed plans for ‘Starfighter’ on Friday morning during the banner’s annual Star Wars celebration event in Tokyo. The outlet also confirmed that Jonathan Tropper wrote the screenplay for the film, which is known to have the previous functions for director Levy, including ‘The Adam Project’ and ‘This is where I leave you’. The actor-director duo, Gosling and Levy, appeared during the Living Star Wars celebration of the LivestEtreamed Star Wars to further tease the project, with Gosling wearing a Pet reading, “should never tell me the chance.” As he addressed the viewers on the Livestream, the actor remembered the power of films and how they inspired him to work. ‘To be here and see everyone [makes it] More inspiring to do this. There is so much creativity and imagination in this room and there is so much love. It is such a wonderful reminder of how many films can mean to us, specifically how many these films mean to us, ‘says Gosling as quoted by Variety. Gosling said to the screaming audience at the end of the presentation. ‘ The power is a mysterious thing, but as I am here, the force is the fans. All we can hope for is, “May the fans be with us.” ‘Gosling added as cited by Variety. The manufacturers have not yet disclosed the details of other cast.
