Asaram Bapu's interim bail will be heard on April 7th

Jodhpur, April 2 (IANS). Asaram Bapu, who serves life imprisonment in the case of sexual harassment, has received a major setback. Asaram Bapu’s trial was heard on an interim bail in the Jodhpur High Court on Wednesday. However, he received no relief in the case. The next trial in this case will now be held on April 7. The case was heard in the Bank of Justice Dinesh Mehta of Jodhpur High Court and Justice Vineet Kumar Mathur. The court clearly stated in his order that Asaram preached, which certainly violated the conditions set by the Supreme Court. On this, the Court sought an affidavit from the acaram’s lawyer to prove that the conditions of the Supreme Court were not violated. The lawyer Yashpal Singh Rajpurohit of Asaram told the IANS news agency that the hearing of Asaram Bapu was heard in the Rajasthan High Court. Earlier, we filed an application to extend the interim bail period in the Gujarat High Court, which was accepted by the court and we received a three -month expansion. The trial was held today in the Bank of Justice Dinesh Mehta and Justice Vineet Kumar Mathur in the Jodhpur High Court. The court instructed to submit an affidavit and set up the next date on April 7. It is noteworthy that in August 2013, a 16 -year -old girl accused Asaram of sexually assaulting her in her ashram near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The parents of the victim filed a complaint, which was arrested on August 31, 2013. Thereafter, a court in Jodhpur Asaram convicted the rape of a minor, and sentenced him to life imprisonment under different parts of the Indian Criminal Act, the protection of children from sexual offenses and various divisions of the Juvenile Justice Act. In October 2013, further allegations were reported when a former Surat woman, a former disciple, accused Ahmedabad at his Ashram, Ahmedabad between 2001 and 2006. This was followed by another legal case, which ended in January 2023 when a court in Gandhinagar founded Asaram of rape, which was his second sentence on such allegations. Apart from this punishment, Asaram’s son Narayan Sai also faced similar allegations. In 2013, two Surat sisters claimed that Asaram and Narayan sexually assaulted them in the middle of the 2000s.
