  1. Lol who would’ve thought that “surviving a pandemic” would be the right response

  2. Sad and alone in the same rut where I was 5 years ago. Exactly as predicted.

Quarantine was really nice actually, wouldn’t mind going back.

  3. I dunno, I’d have said “not at my current job” and that ended up being true.

  4. My default answer to this question has always been “surviving the apocalypse in style!” I would argue that it’s a pretty apt call on past me’s part.

  5. I’d like to give a big ‘fuck you’ to those of you who joked about there needing to be a pandemic every 100 years

  6. Actually there were already research papers about covid during the late 2000s. But here are some papers during 2015:

[A SARS-like cluster of circulating bat coronaviruses shows potential for human emergence](https://www.nature.com/articles/nm.3985)

[Bat-to-human: spike features determining ‘host jump’ of coronaviruses SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and beyond](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0966842X15001316)

Honestly if scientists and their research findings are received as well as pop songs of various artists then the world would be a safer place.

    Knowledge is power.

    Prevention is better than cure.

  7. My brain lived in a world without a pandemic for 10 seconds while I thought the joke was that no one saw themselves standing in front of that sign reading it in 5 years. I want to go back to that reality.

  8. Actually, 2015 was the year of Bill Gates TED talk about “The Next Outbreak”

  9. Statistically, maybe 1 cynical teenager from Ohio guessed correct, but I doubt they’re very happy about that fact now.

  10. I’ll be celebrating the 5th anniversary of you asking me this question!

  11. I did. I predicted i’d be alone in my room. I am currently alone in my room 😎

  12. idk, things going pretty great for me. Better job, better pay, barely affected by worldwide plague at all. 2020 is B+/A-

  13. Pretty sure a lot of members of the non-working class are pretty much doing exactly as planned.

  14. Sitting at home, playing video games, avoiding people as much as possible….

    Do I get a prize?

  15. I’m sure some people with some depressingly low yet also realistic expectations of themselves did.

  16. I did. My boss in 2015 asked me where I wanted to be in five years’ time. I said “somewhere else”. Left that job last year and started a new career. Also moved out last year, so double win.

  17. Except for the writer of every post-apocalyptic pandemic movie…fiction is truth

  18. Well, I said that I was not gonna do something interesting and to this day it still holds true.

  19. Funny story but actually I did… I always said “probably living in an apocalypse or some other terror, you?”

    What do I win?

  20. Unless they said “sitting motionless like a turd on reddit for nearly a year

  21. I bet a lot of people accurately predicted they would be miserable, lonely and isolated
