  1. I will take this course but when I see the truth it's hard I'm 17 years old and this will be my job I will complete this and become pro in computer maybe hacker to and use script's in games to cheat by the way I'm a gamer and I'll be a computer engineer

  2. Oh god, I will be taking Computer Engineering this year. I love doing electronics, computers and codes, I don't know about math though. Sometimes I'm the best (one time I surpassed the smartest in calculus class haha) but my final grades are frustrating. Guess I really have to face this and study in the summer 🙂 And this time we have a Capstone Research project and I'm using arduino. I realized I'm already doing Computer Engineering.

  3. currently a computer engineering student, and what he is saying is a bit misleading. Computer engineering is the idea of incorporating computer science elements into electrical engineering. While electrical engineers will go on to work with advanced power systems and power sources, we will go on to work with things that utilize microprocessors. It is not 50/50 computer science and electrical engineering. In fact I wouldnt even say its a split, because they are intertwined – the classes you will take as a computer engineer will incorporate both electrical engineering and computer science concepts (but much more proportionately electrical engineering). To give an idea, in my computer engineering curriculum, I take 1 class that is classified under computer science, which is intro to C programming (got an A as it was super easy but I digress)- Everything else falls into the electrical engineering department. The class I take after Christmas break, systems programming, will dive into hardware programming, memory allocating, and micro controllers, which are all hybrids of computer science and electrical engineering, where they meet, but they are only in the electrical engineering department. Im assuming the gentleman making this video is not a computer engineer (or even a STEM student), but please do read up on what your major will consist of before enrolling, as I have seen too many computer engineers drop out when they thought it would be like linus tech tips or something. It is electrical engineering, programming concepts, and math, among many other things too many to list here – I wish you all the best and good luck

  4. This is the major I an going for and believe me when I say I do struggle in math so much! I failed Calculus 1 and Programming II (java) last semester and had to put in extra effort
    I then changed my grades from a F and a D respectively to a B (84)and a near perfect score A+ (98.8)
Although yet I couldn’t earn an A in Calculus I understand the concepts well to keep going
    I am fully determined
Hopefully to those who have doubts and fears like I do sometimes can have a moment of hope and determination

  5. I'm studying computer engineering right now and I can say that it's a shit ton of work but it's incredible. There's something really rewarding knowing how computers work on a fundamental level.. something you may not develop as well as a computer scientist

  6. People saying they are bad in math… I used to get Ds in math since first grade till last year in high school and I used to think that i'm just bad in math, but in the the last year in high school I got an advice from my old brother that changed my life which was "practice or you will never get better". In math the only thing you really need is to get used to solve problems, so as much as you practice as good as you will do. In my last year in high school I started doing that and I latterly got As in all my tests and quizzes, and i'm doing very well now in college with math just by getting used to solve problems.

  7. Was doing my 12th Grade this year, going to study Computer Engineering at the university of Pretoria next year. And this video helped a lot in cementing that decision because I had also applied for other types of engineering at different universities.

    Thank you.
