  1. Instead of higher resolutions, it's time for manufacturers and content creators to increase the frame rate. There is an actual perceivable increase in clarity when you go from 60fps to 120fps. Most people can't see any perceivable difference between 4K and 8k at normal viewing distances (without "special demo content").

    These manufacturers have gotten stale. No wonder people aren't investing in new TVs anymore…

  2. 8k won't be in the hands of the average consumers for another 8 to 10 years. 4k content is still not even the norm and limited. 8k resolution is 4 times as much data and a big leap in tech isn't going to happen in just 2 or 3 years.

    Enjoy your 4k and don't hold back for 8k, it's a LONG time away from now.
