Regina King, decked out in hues of rose, graced the 2020 Academy Awards in a pink Atelier Versace silk gown, which was entirely hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals. Before hitting the red carpet, the 49-year-old star spent hours sitting in a beauty chair creating one of our favourite and most wearable looks from this year’s Oscars: A breathtaking monochromatic makeup look using Charlotte Tilbury.

Luckily for you, we have the full breakdown.

Working with celebrity makeup artist Latrice Jonson, King highlighted her radiant, youthful skin with Airbrush Flawless Foundation ($53), Magic Away Concealer ($38) and Airbrush Finish Powder ($58). As for her killer cheekbones, the two opted for the label’s new Pillow Talk Collection, using Cheek to Chic in Pillow Talk.

Since launching in 2013, Charlotte Tilbury’s bestselling original Pillow Talk has now evolved into a cult-favourite full makeup collection packed with lip liners, lipsticks, highlighters, blushes and eyeshadows. The signature rosy nude lipstick shade is sold every two minutes!

The latest offerings include the limited-edition Instant Eye Palette in Pillow Talk ($95) and a Pillow Talk Eyeliner ($32), both of which Jonson used to create King’s rose gold lids. The collection’s sequel adds two variations of the shade, Medium and Intense, to better flatter all skin tones and eye colours.

Proving the versatility of the new shades, Jonson lined and filled the actress’ lips with Pillow Talk Lip Cheat ($27) and Lipstick in the shade Medium. For extra shine, she topped them off with Lip Lustre ($28).

“When you apply a flattering, nuanced nude shade, it’s empowering and never overwhelming…I’ve dialled up my iconic nude-pink Pillow Talk shade adding warmth and deeper, sweeter rose tones, for every skin tone from fair to medium to deep, expanding the Pillow Talk universe for every moment, every mood and everyone,” said Tilbury.
